The first Anode event happened in Sydney from 25 - 28th September 2008 with over 200 artists, musicians and performers involved in multiple venues across the city. In 2009 Anode will be happening again in Sydney in September, as well as Melbourne later in the year.

With the support of City Of Sydney Council, Anode will be taking over public space and venues in Sydney throughout September in 2009. We are also looking forward to announcing details of our Melbourne partnership to connect nodes of practice across Sydney and Melbourne. Find anode. Experience Sydney transformed and connected by art and music, witness the fusing of forms and disciplines. It's local, mostly free and on your doorstep. This short season of art and music events, excursions, exhibitions, shows and installations is happening across Sydney in galleries, venues and public space. Inspired by events like Node London, Next Wave in Melbourne and Creative Time in New York, this event looks at connecting various nodes of practice throughout the city.
