Dance, funk-soul, hip hop and electronic sounds are well-catered for in RTR’s ‘beats’ labeled shows and afternoon dose of club music each weekday, whilst a range of programs under the ‘guitar’ heading cover rock, blues, punk and hardcore, alongside specialist jazz or experimental weekly shows. At midday each weekday, ‘Out To Lunch’ also showcases three hours of new music. OTHER PROGRAMINGA number of programs offering specialist insights from activists, cover current affairs, with everything from a weekly indigenous program to news, interviews and discussions hosted by Perth’s Indymedia. A weekday ‘Morning Magazine’ slot also presents regular interviews, whether with local artists or federal politicians, covering social to arts and cinema. REGULAR EVENTSOutside broadcasts from Perth’s clubs or streets, and events such as quiz nights provide 4ZZZ with the opportunity to step outside their studios and connect with the wider community.
