MUSIC POLICY New music and fresh local sounds, playing 50% Australian-made (half of that from Sydney). Strong youth emphasis, daily ‘what’s on’ guide and a six-day-a-week dance music strip called ‘Sunset’ (6-8pm) hosted by some of the city’s notable club DJs. Specialist programs include a popular world music show, as well as dub-reggae, hip hop, electronic, indie and new music round-up.
OTHER PROGRAMING Arts and local culture is catered for with regular film reviews, a visual arts and gallery round-up and a number of talks-with-music programs offering artists, filmmakers and festival curators air-time for interviews or guest-programming.
REGULAR EVENTS FBi present a number of gigs, both local and international, each week and have strong links with venues and festivals. The station is also a media partner for major events such as the Sydney Festival and Sydney Film Festival. They present a yearly live radio-play event at The Studio (Sydney Opera House) and have just launched the annual SMAC awards.
